Zachary and Jubilee have the same birthdate, so I decided each needed there own special day and moved Zach's birthday up a few days. He didn't seem to mind. :) We had fun making new kinds of balloon animals and eating cake. Jeff got out his balloon pump and made him a birthday crown, which he was excited to wear even several days later. Zachary is very proud to be four (esp. now that he is "older" than Hosanna - - that is by three weeks!)

Here is my best attempt at a rocket cake! All the children were standing around me as I cut the cake into rocket pieces and began icing. Sugar holds their attention whether they are eating it or not! :) I finished during nap time, and the birthday boy has not seen it yet - but I think he will not be disappointed!

Birthday Fun

 

 

 

We had a fun celebration for Jonathon. He turned 2! I tried my first birthday cake shape. If you can't tell, it's a blue tractor. Most everyone around here has a John Deere (green and yellow), but our neighbor has a blue tractor. Jonathon is so mesmerized by him when he works in his yard that I made his blue. I learned not to use organic icing as it started melting as I was trying to decorate. Zachary has put in a request for a rocket, so we'll see how that goes!
